The HBCU (historically black colleges and universities) Band Combine serves as a valuable recruitment platform for New Orleans high school seniors. This event is a college fair that offers an opportunity for students to secure scholarships by auditioning for various Historically Black Colleges & Universities band and vocal music Programs.

In addition to the auditions, the event features a Dance Clinic, informative sessions for students and parents, and engaging community vendors. The seminars and panel discussions cover essential topics such as financial planning with FAFSA experts and HIV/AIDS education led by healthcare professionals. There are also tailored workshops for local band parents.

The vendor lineup includes local enterprises, community groups, collegiate fraternal organizations, and alumni associations. Overall, this event stands as an enriching and interactive occasion that helps both students and the community.
